The series is a continuation of the Roc's Life franchise, it mostly revolves around Roc continuing his role as leader of Roc's Small Team and working with the children to bring lot's of fun to the world.

The series was announced on May 27th, 2015, it was first titled The Roc's Life Series it was developed in fall of 2015, it was re-titled Roc and the Small Team, it was re-developed on April 6th, 2016.
